Sometime I could just strangle the Maloofs, and this is one of those times. They had better have an ace up their sleeve, otherwise I hope someone kicks their arse. Now that Adelman is gone, odds are that Bonzi will be leaving too.

The Drillah is tired of the SacKings breaking our hearts. For our loyalty; this?

If Bonzai!goes; the Drillah will be rooting for Goldenstate next Season; but cheer up King's fans with the Drillah's morning column:

Title:It's Barry Bonds day!/For out loyalty this?

God, I hope not. That Bonzi leaves or that the Kings are Lost Vega$, please let you both be wrong.

& Drillah, when I close my eyes I see Barry Bonds in drag too

'tho I wish I didn't, really.

About Coach Rick Adelman leaving:

When Lori interviewed me about my song(2-17-06, a little after the Ron Artest trade), she asked me whether I  thought Rick Adelman would be back next year.

I said "I like the Princeton offense, but I don't see how it's gonna work with the post-up talent we have now".Remember when I said:"I hadn't finalized this year's version of the song 'cuz' I hadn't seen this year's offense until after the RonRon trade?"

Ironically...Rick Adelman mentioned the lack of offensive flow in his comments on an interview on KHTK(1140 AM; today, 5-10-06):

Caller:"Did changing the offense to accomodate post-up talent additions change the scoring of Brad & Mike because they were unsure of how to score & didn't know where to be on the floor?":

Rick Adelman:"That's a great point, that's right. It did take away from Brad & Mike & made it hard from them to score. I was frustrated with the offensive flow all season. I thought the flow of the offense looked desperate, We weren't able to practice, it was hard".

Mike Lamb:"Do you think Bonzi will be back?"

Rick Adelman:"Bonzi was unbelievable in the playoff series with San Antonio. That's what's surprising about how this played out because I thought things were coming together at the end of the season, we took the world champions to 6 games when people said we wouldn't even make the playoffs"....

"What players come back has to do with alot more  than just how they play in 1 series; there's what their agents might want, how much the franchise wants to spend, is this a player(Bonzi) that will show up when he gets a big contract, these are all things management has to consider".

"I was surprised with Bonzi because I didn't know what to expect. He was injured, & Kevin came in & really stepped up & produced. Then when Bonzi came back, he was O.K. with coming in as a spot, & Kevin continuing to start. I liked that he was humble about coming off the bench. That's another thing you never know if you'll get a guy to show up for the team as opposed to themselves".

"& then Kevin got injured & Bonzi really stepped it up.I don't think anybody could have played better at his postion on any other team".

Mike Lamb:Who would you recommend Geoff Petrie bring back?

Rick Adelman:"Other than I hope they'll consider E.T. as their new head coach?I'd invest in the youth of the team, Kevin, Francisco, & Ronnie Price."

Mike Lamb:" It has to  be mentioned the criticism of you bringing back Chris Webber as a starter instead of off the bench, & how that disrupted the King's offense that was working while he was injured":

Rick Adelman:"Do you think Phil jackson would have sat Shaq when he needed to have him ready for the playoffs?Everyone was saying we couldn't beat the Mavericks or Minnesota that year  without Chris.& we beat the Mavericks in 5 & gave Minnesota a run on their way to the western conference finals, people that say I should have sat Chris like Voisin at the Bee don't know what they're talking about with all their blah-blah-blah that has nothing to do with trying to make the situation work on the ground with the talent you are given as a coach."

Caller:"I want to thank you for giving us  8 great years, & if Goldensate or Portland doesn't call you within a week, they're stupid."

Rick Adelman:(chuckles): "Thank you, I appreciate that."

Pretty good transcription, but I remember this quote which I put in my column:

Rick Adelman on the Maloofs:"Maybe they didn't bring me back because they thought we'd beat San Antonio. If they did they'd be the only 6 peoples in the county(who thought that).

Ouch! The Drillah thinks he's saying the Maloofs are stupid!

The morning column delivered late:

You know, a lot of b-bal  fans around the NBA are saying WTF? About this, me included.

Not that I thought coach Adelman walked on water like jesus or anything, I didn't like how offensive minded he was. But the defense atarted to inprove when the talent improvred, and i don't like it that Ron Artest wanted him to stay and the maloofs ignored that.

Found this link that was funny & pertinent:

And what do you guys think of the proposed replacements?Don Nelson?P.J. Carlissimo?Terry Porter?Paul Silas? or Eddie JordAN?
