Hey fellow Kings' fans! Thought I would start a thread about Kings players from the past. Who were some of your favorite Kings players that are now retired or have moved on? One of my favorites was Lionel Simmons. I know he wasn't a hall-of-fame player, but he was a super nice guy who could score with the best of 'em. I remember getting his autograph back in 1992. The L-Train was signing autographs at Folsom Lake Ford.

I liked Lionel Simmons too--cl****y player who I thought never got enuff cred for his scoringAs for more recent departures, I miss Bobby J. and I liked Vlade Divac alot...I was hoping he would come back to the Kings one more season instead of retiring as a laker. I really appreciated how much they contributed to the Sacramento community and didn't take their success and good fortune for granted....and of course, I was sadwhen Doug Christie and C-webb and Matt Barnes were traded...I'd still like to see them all do well as individuals even if they're playing for other teams.

Too funny--I have an autograph from Lionel too from the L-train--You were probably there!I really dug D. C. and his hustle and of course Bobby for the same reason--my fav players are those that don't take anything for granted and have heart--I hate players that are complacent that act as if they are above the fans and not real people--Simmons was cool as a King-miss Vlade too BUT HATED seeing him in faker yellow(wierd!)

I too miss the Kings from even a few years back. Like Vlade, Christie, I also liked Jimmy Jackson as a Kings player. Of course "WHITE CHOCOLATE" Jason Williams was cool...except when he would jack up 3-pointers from midcourt with 20 seconds left on the shot clock...used to drive Adelman crazy with those shots..LOL!
Oh yeah, I can't forget Mitch Richmond. For awhile there, he was all the Kings had to be proud of. I got his autograph back in 1997. He was signing autographs out at a place that used to be called "Incredible Universe", which was out off of Northgate or Truxxel, right off of I-80.
