Stockton is like every other American city....it has its good areas and bad areas.    Yes...& the area around UOP is one of the best in the city! Funny story about the County fair Rhondda; but if you tell anymore "scary stories' how 'bout at least one postive one?You play alot locally, I'm sure you must have a few! Curious Go 'Zags if your experience with the Record influenced you decision to move north, and... Maria, I'm not a mind reader, it was just a lucky guess. Now go & have a good time courtesy of ESPN. But I have to correct you, I did see an invite over at Kings Super Fan for this event. Well, Here's a positive thought; I'm playing with a coverband tonight & tommorrow night in downtown, which is really enjoying a rebirth with the new arena, & the new ball field. My gig is at a restaurant 'la sparza' ( an upscale, San-Fran style place you wouldn't have seen in downtown before the arena)right across the water from the new arena; which glows with purple lights on the channel at night.Cool stuff. You mentioned in your column this morning putting in a "d" league (NBDL) B-Ball farm club in the arena, You suggested the farm club for the Goldenstate Warriors: http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060414/SPORTS/604140317&SearchID=73241567733528 I have to respectfully disagree, Why not the farm club for the Kings with an Arena with purple lights? Why should the farm club for the Kings be in Texas? There are so many fans that can't get tickets for King's games that would love to attend; look at the attendance the Stockton Thunder hockey team gets with all the fans that come from San Jose` since they can't get Shark's tickets. Just a thought.

I think that's a great idea! Why should the warriors have a "D" league team here? I thought it was funny when the Drillah said "the Warriors allready are a "D" league club"...LOL!!

Hey Go 'Zags! Is the Drillah right about the Sonics leaving Seattle?Or is this just talk like with the Kings & their arena that may/may not be true?

The Drillah is right, it could very well happen that the Sonics leave the Pacific Northwest. Article below about it.

Makes me wish we coulda built the Stockton Arena larger to accomodate any NBA team in need of a moving van.

I'd give up the 3 minor league teams for 1 major league team. What the hell, maybe if we get a 2nd mortgage on the Arena & raise the roof on the sucker we can attract David Stern's attention.

After all, Stock-town is just down the road from Natomas. They even still be called the "Sacramento Kings" Stocktonians have enuff of an inferiority complex to allow the Maloofs to get away we all the stuff Sacramento won't.

O.K..... Furry mascot..... what have you been tokin'??You know that ain't gonna happen!

Forget Stock-town's inferiority complex;Sacramento would let the Kings move to Las Vegas before they'd let 'em move to Stock-Town.

Are you really still sore about Auburn not even making the 1st round?

Hope Jose` has a good time; might be some interesting "audio" in that studio....
