Jose` in N.Y.( a lowly Knick's fan). wrote: Hella cool! You know I'm gonna jump on this!Wish all of you could be here!I'll post about the details; this ALMOST makes up for how much my Knick's s*ck!(Well,.... not really...but it's still cool!)!! Right on Jose', keep us west coasters up on the details. I'm watching Quite Frankly right now and they have Jalen Rose on. Stephen A is trying to get Jalen to comment on Stephon Marbury, but Jalen is kind of evasive..LOL!!

Certainly in his interest to be; nice Shakespearean touch!LOL!!Jalen is a smart dude. Gotta give Stephen props for trying to get the skinny though...

Wonder what you guys think of the Chuckster saying Marbury is going to head to the Timberwolves; with the $$$$the Wolves are paying Garnett, how could it be?

You go Jose`. Take your girl too; put on that new RonRon jersey; & let your girl wear team Dime's.Wish I could take time from the responsibilities of being a sports editor.

Hey Drillah, whattup???? I worked at the Stockton Record back in 1995-96. Kind of in a different capacity than you. I drove a Record truck...LOL!!Used to take a load of papers every night to Maaaaaaaaaaanteca!!!

I'll never forget working the dock on news years 1996!!! At 12 midnight we were ducking for cover on the Record dock from all the drunks in downtown StockTown firing their guns in the air. It was like a war zone. One of the bullets hit the top of one of the Record trucks and landed on the floor...it was scary. I assume it came from Charter Way...a place you don't really want to be after dark..LOL!!

Ok, back to basketball. Sorry guys, just going down memory lane..HA! HA!

Hey are you a mind reader? How did you know that Jose` has a RonRon jersey?

& 3 Mike Bibby jerseys.I "borrowed" the throwback; I'm gonna cut it down to my size.

I checked the other king's fan sites; & not to slamm anyone(that ain't cool!) I noticed that the invite was only extended to this King's fan site. Interesting huh?

Glad that they want King's fans there...maybe for balance 'cuz some New Yahkers like to 'dis on West Coasters...should be rather racous(sp?)

Is it raccous?Just don't ask the *lakersfans* that are still in pre-school!

Interesting that the invite was extended to this website, I think it's because admin has "special connections" that he's modest about...LOL!

Or...maybe it's because of the 'TNT on the down-low guys'....

You go girl! We all wish we could be there!

Oh, that's ok; go ahead!Actually, I have alot of "scary Stock-Town stories"LOL!!...& I'm still here! But now I live in a 'good neighborhood' about 6 blocks south of UOP.

My dad used to work in distribution for the Record too- back in the late 60's. He was fired for (ahem!) "unionizing activity".This was right after he had bought the house he lives in now on the east part of town by Franklin High School.

Franklin is definitely the poor step-child of the SUSD(Stockton Unified School District). We had (& still don't have!) no football stadium & had to play our home games at Edison High on...(you guessed it!!)Charter way. After dark...& you can bet your nachos that the Edison students never let us feel very comfie there...though former NFL player Webster Slaughter was a Franklin Grad, along with yours truly.

What passed for an athletic filed had 6-inch gopher holes were we turned our ankles trying to train for track-&-field.Despite our award winning jazz band, the students at the more "4-0" schools allways let us know we were the poor relations.

In my case litereally...my cousins were at the 'burbie rich school' at the time, Lincoln. My cousin was a cheerleader, my other cousin captain of the waterpolo team.

When we  played Lincoln for a home game my cuz(ms. cheerleader, of course!) asked me why our football team only had "black & mexican kids on it...where are all the white dudes?" I told her..."there's no white guys on the team 'cuz all the okies are smoking pot in the parking lot!"

&...Then there was the time; just like OSM related on the "gotta love" thread on the lakers smacktalk forum that I was playing with a latin band at the san joaquin County fair(yep, yep, right there on Charter Way about 10:00pm on a saturday night in 102 degree weather, 1996) & a knife fight broke out between Nortenos & the gang from the southland(yes, again, you bet your Corona's that they were lakerfans!)while we were playing a song by Santana & the boys in blue had us keep playing until the arrests were made.Could go on..save the rest of the novel for another time...There's more, actually...LOL!!
