UCLA vs. Gonzaga....will face off in the sweet 16.........to be played in Oakland next weekend. I have to mention the Zags game last night against Indiana. The Hoosiers really shut down Adam Morrison...But the other Zags came up big.....mainly Sean Mallon, who played huge!!! Erroll Knight had some BIG put-back baskets and J.P. Batista had a solid game as well. Now if they can get Derek Ravio going...SOMEHOW!! This was also Indiana coach Mike Davis's last game as he is stepping down. OH RHONDA, now that your two favorite west coast teams are facing each other, who do you root for??!!!. If you stick with your Alma Mater UCLA, I'll understand....LOL!!

ha-ha-ha!!What if I were to say that'll I'd be happy with either team moving on??
To be honest, I'm torn here. When I was at UCLA, we were in between championships. It's good to see UCLA in defensive fine form again, like the good-old days with coach Wooden; or when Reggie was there.
But I love to watch Adam & Co. play; he's a special player I think...
but speaking of the other 'role-players';
Ravio is going to have be really,really patient & smart 'cuz Jordan Farmar loves to wear opposing p.g's down.It's good that Sean Mallon & J.P.Batista are stepping up up their game, because if the 'Zags don't spread their offense & keep the pace fast UCLA will steamroller over them like a college version of the Pistons or something.
I think the key for the 'Zags is (unfortunately!) Ravio. If he doesn't step up & play smart, I see Jordan Farmar trapping him & getting the best of him.
Go-Zags!!! wrote: UCLA vs. Gonzaga....will face off in the sweet 16.........to be played in Oakland next weekend. I have to mention the Zags game last night against Indiana. Jordan Farmar is wicked smart defensively.It's kind of unexpected becuse he's kind of casual & patient about it & the other p.g's get complacent & he goes in for the kill. Not sure Ravio is up to the challenge; Adam might have to handle the ball to draw the double-team to split UCLA's defense so the 'zag bigs can score. They might be the difference maker.
I didn't know Sean Mallon was a double-double kind of guy; & Erroll knight was clutch too. I'm definitely going to be watching this game, I predict a close(&frustrating!) game for players & fans alike.Probably especially for you Rhondda.
LOL!!The Drillah's vote is for UCLA because: 1)Ravio isn't as good as Farmar. 2) UCLA is in California; and 3) The Drillah think the 'Zags are creampuffs except for that Morrison kid.
Oh, so you hate on the 'Zags. I'm going to root for them, because UCLA has won like, a gadzillion times; so GO 'ZAGS!!!!(sorry, Rhondda!!)
