Ron Artest's comments after his first game against his former team..

Below is a quote from Ron Artest after the Kings-Pacers game last night.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

(Surprised at being booed?) "Not really. There are still a lot of people who are happy to see me. If there was a fight between the fans who loved me or booed me, I think the boos would have won. It did not affect my game. Even though I missed something like ten lay-ups, which would have been 20 more points. So that was definitely to the Pacers advantage. It’s cool that they booed me. They’re supposed to boo me, I’m a Sacramento King now. "

(Disappointed with loss?) "I was more disappointed that we lost as a team as opposed to playing poorly. We just have to move on and get better. The big thing is we should have won this game."

(On pre-game greetings) "I said hi to Donnie (Walsh). He’s a good man. I have no hard feelings. It was good to see the guys, but I’m really happy in Sacramento. I talked to Peja (Stojakovic). He acknowledged me and I acknowledge him. We like, swapped spots, so we have something in common. We just wanted to win tonight. It was a different day for us. I think it was weird for the team with all the media around. It was good to get this game out of the way. I do look forward to coming back here. They beat us. You should always looks forward to try and beat a team the next time."

(On Danny Granger) "He played good. He played real smart tonight. He’s probably one of the better players on the team right now and he probably deserves to start.”

Nice links Kingsfan. I like your even-handed approach.

Curious if you've seen how at pistons.com & spurs.com the  message boards are linked to the official website. IMHO; this one & Kings Superfans should be linked; too; actually the postings here are more lucid then the links at  the spurs.com site(let's see if that gets by J.T in S.A!!)

I wasn't surprised RonRon got booed. Hell, here at the Garden we boo players that are still playing for us that suck like Marbury, that selfish asshole. I booed him tonight. Any day now I expect to open the New York post and find out that 1) a Knick's fan has strangled starbury during the night, or:..2) Larry brown has strangled himself!

I like this board just the way it is, on the down'low. If it was linked to the official website it would be to 'corporate' that would suck I think.Don't listen to detroit, admin.

LOL!!Interesting stuff from around the NBA.Ron Artest to the Kings was a no-brainer, they were totally soft before the addition.

What surprises me is that Peja is playing better too, I allways thought he was a softie too, actually.

Uhmm; O.K.; whatever. I can tell you that the Pacers are very happy with how Peja is playing; he's been warmly embraced by the Pacers faithfull.

Again, I gotta give admin. props for his well-rounded approach to the trade.I think it's been good for both clubs.

Thought I'd include a quote from Jermaine Jackson that's NOT quoted on the Pacers website(hey, just for fun!):

"I just told Ron he shouldn't feel bad", Jackson said. "They boo me, and I play here. I don't think it bothered him...if they'll(the fans) boo me, they'll boo anybody".

Though for the record, I don't remember getting booed all that much, honestly.
